Keeping Students on Track
Assessment Three Ways
Placement Assessment
After students are enrolled in Bridgewater, a placement test may be administered to ensure they begin the curriculum at the learning level that best suits their knowledge and skill level. Using this invaluable tool, teachers are best able to direct, manage, and evaluate learning, providing the content and structure to facilitate student success.Formative Assessment and Content Mastery
To pinpoint potential difficulties and adjust accordingly, all students are regularly quizzed and tested as they progress through the academy. Preset mastery benchmarks determine whether or not students move ahead to the next unit. Scores from online assignments, tests, and quizzes are automatically recorded and updated. Teachers, students, and parents have anytime access to this information.Prescriptive Credit Recovery
Our credit recovery program allows students to test out of certain units with performance above a preset threshold. This option is especially useful in addressing credit recovery requirements, helping students prove mastery of the skills covered in particular units and assist them as they work toward graduation.
Proven Placement Methods
Based on history and test results, our counselors and teachers create an individualized learning plan that suits each student's learning style, pace, and desired outcomes. At every grade level, our courses are engaging and media-rich. With interactivity built-in, learning exercises, movies, animations, and audio clips keep students involved and responsible for their own progress and ultimately, academic success.
